ESO: Xbox One X optimization coming with Update 16
As the gamers all over the globe wait for the new XBox One X, Zenimax Online Studios takes few steps ahead and announces that Update 16, a Clockwork City content patch will add new Xbox console optimization.
We may argue about the new console price tag of 500$ being a total joke, or that the idea of releasing the second edition of current generation console to fulfill the promises the first X-box One failed to, but you cannot argue that ZOS did not learn their lesson. After a sloppy launch, content delayed forever and taking them ages to bring ESO to the consoles, Zenimax finally learned "how to MMO" properly. In 2016 alone ZOS pushed out five major DLC's - Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Shadows of the Hist, Horns of the Reach, Homestead, a massive Morrowind expansion and introduced One Tamriel revamp and it seems nothing is stopping then as they plan on launching another content DLC - Clockwork City along with highly anticipated Xbox One X optimization.
What does that mean? Xbox One X promises many things but we all know why people will spend money on it - stable 60fps framerate at 4k resolution.

Clockwork City is a DLC and will require both base game AND Morrowind expansion to play, however, the Xbox One X optimization that comes along update 16 is a base game upgrade that does not require any DLC's to play. As always, members of ESO Plus will have access to the DLC as long as their subscription remains active.
