poe Hierophant build 2019

Hierophant is a very interesting class which mainly focuses on non-conventional sources of damage, survivability, and utilities aimed towards the magic source of damage. He is very good at using spells as well as at creating totems which deal elemental damage. Also, his abilities can convert mana pool into bonuses to the defense or damage. His passive skills are mostly specialized in increasing spell damage and regenerating mana. In this PoE Templar Hierophant Build and Guide we described everything important.

The Hierophant class can also generate endurance and power charges and use them for his own purposes. The class is very good at using various types of totems. The totems can be used as buffers or pure damage dealers. Thanks to that, you will be able to get more defensive gems for your build setup. In addition, the class is quite tanky even though he may be considered as a typical mage class. Playing such a class is very easy, especially if you decide to play as a totem summoner. You basically place totems and wait for them to do the job.

I highly recommend this class for newbie players since builds are quite cheap and most of them are very easy to play. I recommend this class if you are looking for easy and enjoyable gameplay and fast money maker. With proper build which is not that expensive, It offers good map clear speed, especially when you reach the end game, nice damage and at the same time ability to survive bosses like atziri or uber elder. His most useful passives are:

Hierophant passive skills

Illuminated Devotion - a passive skill which is mainly focused on increasing player stats while arcane surge buff is activated. The passive skill increases spell damage by 40% and area of effect by 20%. Also, 0,5% of your spell damage dealt to minions is leeched as health. Remember that additional stats from the passive are active only during arcane surge buff. Without it, your stats will be not increased.

Arcane Blessing - very useful passive which grants arcane surge buff for you. The arcane surge buff is activated when you or your totems hit minion or boss with a spell. Additionally, it makes you immune for any elemental alignments like burning, maim or freeze while the arcane surge buff is activated.

Conviction of Power - a passive skill which the main function is giving you power and endurance charges while placing totems or killing enemies. You have a 15% chance to get power charge when you or your totem kill an opponent. Also, there is 50% of getting a power charge when summoning totems. The passive also allows you to get endurance charge when a power charge is gained. There is 25% to gain both charges at the same time. Additionally, your spells penetrate 5% of elemental resistances when you have a power charge active and 5% reduced elemental damage when you have endurance charge. Very useful and well-developed passive which is mandatory to have.

Pursuit of Faith - this passive is mainly used for increasing your and your totems damage output. The passive allows you to summon additional totem and increases totems durations by 100%. Also, your damage is increased by 6% per enemy killed by you or your totems. If you decide to play totem-build, you should consider having this passive skill in your build.

Ritual of Awakening - next passive which is mainly used for buffing totems. The passive makes your totem skill summoning two totems at once instead of only one. Also, you are placing your totems 50% faster. Your and the health of your totems is regenerated by 1% per totem you have on the battlefield. Additionally, your mana regeneration is increased by 0,5% per totem. Damage is also increased by 3% per totem you have summoned to fight.

Divine Guidance - typical damage passive which makes your mana as a main source of damage. The passive increases your maximum mana pool by 150 points. Also, 10% of damage dealt by bosses and minion is taken from mana before it starts to be taken from your health pool.

Sanctuary of Thought - this passive is responsible for boosting your maximum energy shield, mana costs of skills and mana reservation of heralds you use. It takes 30% of your maximum mana and converts it into extra maximum energy shield. When you have your energy shield fully regenerated, skills mana costs are reduced by 50%. Also, the passive reduces 50% of your mana skill costs and 10% of mana skills reservation.

Sign of Purpose - this passive skill is focused on increasing your stats when you have active brands. It allows you to cast one more brand, increases the attachment of the brand by 14% and increases damage by 10% for each brand attached to the opponents. If you have four brands attached, your damage will be increased by 40%. It huge boost for your damage output especially for single target enemies like atziri or shaper.

Forbidden Power - this passive skill is based on power charges which are generating during fights with groups of enemies. It increases your maximum amount of power charges by one point. Additionally, the passive gives you more spell damage and more aoe damage (5%) per Power charge stack. Also, thanks to this passive you gain one power charge in the situation when you spend 200 Mana when using skills.

Path of the Exile is a very advanced game in which every class has a specific skill tree with different passives which increase your base stats. In order to build your character properly, you will need to choose the best possible configuration that will fit your playstyle. Now I will show you the most played build for Hierophant Templar in Synthesis league. The build I have chosen is 3.6 Cascade Totems Hierophant build. Such build is based on totems, placing them and increasing their damage.

The build is not expensive even though it requires 4 mandatory items. Additionally, the build is easy to play, especially for beginners. I do recommend to play this build as a league starter because it deals a very nice amount of damage, can clear uber lab without any problems and has very good damage against bosses like Atziri or Shaper. Below I will write about the advantages and disadvantages of complete build and show proper building path. Enjoy!

Advantages

Easy to play - the build, as mentioned in the introduction, is based on placing totems and totems damage which the main source is elemental damage. You have to focus on maximizing the elemental damage because the more elemental damage you have, the more damage totems deal. With proper gear and good crit damage multiplier, you can clear almost all the game content. Even maps with elemental damage reflect aren’t a problem for this build.

Very good aoe damage - the build is perfect for killing groups of minions because of the fact that totems deal an insane amount of aoe damage. The totems are also quite tanky, so there is no problem when minions will try to attack your friends.

Very good currency farmer - thanks to elemental damage dealt by totems, the build is considered as one of the best for mapping and farming the path of exile currency. I played this build on Betrayal 3.5 patch and it was literally unstoppable. The only problem I had was with uber Elder and sometimes shaper.

Nice survivability - thanks to hierophant passives and his tanky totems, you basically don’t have to be worried about damage dealt by minions. The situation is completely different when it comes to fighting with harder opponents and bosses. You have to remember to have a nice amount of resistances and good potions on you.

Cheap gear - as I mentioned in the introduction, the class needs 4 mandatory unique items but it is not a problem. These uniques are pretty cheap so you will be able to afford proper equipment even in the early stage of the game.

Safe playstyle - the class and the build are perfect for newbie players. The build playstyle is focused on placing totems and buffing them, so not a demanding one.

Very good single target damage - in the end game you will be able to place four totems. Thanks to this, your single target damage will be insane. Map bosses will be melted very fast same as unique minions while mapping.

Perfect league starter - thanks to his very good early game, not expensive required gear and perfect damage output, the build is very good to be played as a league starter. The build consists of everything you need at the beginning.

Disadvantages

Passive play style - playing as totemancer Hierophant might be boring for some players. His passive play style is caused by the fact that he is focused on placing totems which are the main source of damage.

Vulnerable to damage - remember to keep opponents on distance. Any kind of damage can be painful for you. The biggest problem is projectile damage from minions. Remember to avoid as much as u can.

Mandatory uniques - you will probably think that I will write about the price of needed uniques. But no, this is not a problem. The problem is the fact that you need two mandatory rings which are without any resistances. Making up resistance caps might be a real challenge.

Equipment

While playing Hierophant it is very important to use proper equipment which will boost your damage and at the same time totems damage. In this part of the guide, I will show you how to build your character properly, what items should be used in the early game and what should be used in the end game. Because Path of exile is considered to be most developed grinding gear game, you should keep in mind that you will need to swap your equipment regularly. Thanks to that you will not feel stagnation and enjoy the game even more.

 a) Weapon

The best weapon that can be used as a perfect game starter should have a good amount of spell damage and casting speed. A weapon which has all these attributes is a wand called Lifesprig Driftwood Wand. You can use this item from the first level. It gives you more spell damage and more cast speed which is the most important factors, especially in the early game. You can use two wands and mix one with a spirit shield to maximize your damage output.

When you reach level 10, switch your weapon for Axiom Perpetuum Bronze Sceptre. In the early levels, this weapon is amazing, because it adds elemental damage to your spells. Also, it increases your critical chance with spells by 100% and casting speed by 5%. You can use this weapon until level 32. Then you switch for Bitterdream Shadow Sceptre. A perfect weapon with even more elemental damage and additional statistics for skill gems. The most important attribute is supporting by 10 level added cold damage. It will boost your damage a lot, especially because you will use hatred skill gem.

At level 41 you should start using Nycta's Lantern Crystal Sceptre. More elemental damage, resistance penetration and increased spell damage make this staff the best weapon which you can use in mid game. You will use Nycta’s Lantern until you reach the endgame. In the endgame, you will have two options to choose from.  The first one is Doryani's Catalyst Vaal Sceptre. This weapon highly increases your totems elemental damage, casting speed, critical strike chance and life leech, so basically everything you need in the late game. The second option is Divinarius Imperial Skean. The same weapon is used by the Shadow class. This weapon is increasing spell damage and a critical chance for spells. Additionally, it regenerates ten points of your missing health and five points of your missing mana per killed minion.

I recommend wearing two divinarius daggers, and wait for getting even better rare weapons or invest in Void Battery Prophecy Wand. This weapon is very expensive (you will need at least 10 exalted orbs to afford two of them) but totally worth it. Each void battery wand grants up to 20% increased cast speed, 1 extra Power charge, and 25% increased spell damage per Power Charge. Because of the fact that you can generate 8 Power charges, you end up with 400% increased spell damage which is an insanely big boost for your damage. Thanks to this weapon you will be able to clear even t16 maps and farm some currency to make your build better.

 b) Helmet

A perfect league starting helmet should increase your resistances and maximum health amount. There are two helmets which you can wear at the start of the game. The first one you should consider buying is Goldrim Leather Cap. It gives you 35% boost to your resistances, so it is all you need for the beginning. You will be able to survive all bosses and minion fights until you reach the endgame. Another possibility is getting a rare helmet with resistances and elemental damage boost.

Then at level 39, you should equip Doedre's Scorn Lunaris Circlet. Such a helmet is very cheap and significantly boosts your totems damage output. It increases your totems elemental damage by 20% and adds 2 levels to your socketed curse gems.  At level 59 you can equip Thundersight Solaris Circlet. It gives you even more elemental damage and increases your energy shield by 270%. In the late game, you should look for the helmet which will increase the number of your resistances. Since both of your ring slots are reserved for mandatory unique rings you should invest in the helmet with resistances and some damage. Your helmet should have at least 35% of each res and boost your maximum life.

Here you have a link with an exemplary helmet. Additionally, as a laboratory mod, look for faster projectiles casting. It is amazing since you will have additional slot gem in your armor which will boost your damage. There is also the possibility to get Starkonja's Head Silken Hood as a defensive helmet. It gives you dexterity (needed to level up gems), a strong boost to your survivability and high amount of life. I recommend getting a rare helmet with resistances, but if you cannot afford it, consider buying Starkonja’s.

c) Belt

For a perfect starting belt, you should choose the one which will give you a nice amount of elemental resistances and increase your damage with elemental skills type. The number of resistances in this belt should be not less than 20% because even in the beginning it is not so easy to make up the resistances caps. During your adventure, you should focus on upgrading your belt with more resistances and more maximum life.

In the late game, you have to wear Apocalypse Clasp Stygian Vise which significantly increases each of your resistance and gives you the possibility to add abyss jewel. Such jewel can boost your elemental damage and help to reach resistance caps. There is also the possibility to wear Cyclopean Coil Leather Belt. The belt increases your damage per five points of your lowest attribute which is a huge boost to your damage. Also if you know how to operate with your attributes, you can adjust them to belt requirements. If you are skilled enough you will be able to gain immunity for getting frozen, shocked or ignited. Additionally, you get a huge amount of health which nice boost for our survivability.

d) Gloves

In the early game, gloves are used to increase your survivability and, depending on what class are you playing, attack speed or casting speed. In this build, the perfect starting gloves should increase your ability to survive stronger bosses and casting speed. When you choosing the gloves, focus on elemental resistances (at least 20%) and casting speed (at least 10%). There is also the possibility to get Lochtonial Caress Iron Gauntlets if you prefer increased damage and casting speed. While leveling you should focus on gloves which will increase your casting speed and resistances.

In the late game, you should focus on rare gloves which will increase your resistances. Additionally, look for increased casting speed and increased projectile damage attributes. It will highly increase your damage output and help while mapping. If you want to increase your life and mana pool, you can look for gloves with such attributes. There is also the possibility to wear Voidbringer Conjurer Gloves. These gloves increase your energy shield and critical strike chance from spells. It is a perfect combination of nice survivability and damage boost. If you have your resistances caped Voidbringer gloves will be perfect, if not rare gloves with resistances are must have.

e) Boots

Choosing boots for this build will be a very easy task. All you have to do is focus on movement speed, cold and lightning resistances and attribute needed to level up gems (in this case strength). The boots should increase your elemental resistances and movement speed by at least 20%. If you prefer unique boots, there is also the possibility to wear Wanderlust Wool Shoes. You can wear them on the first level. Perfect boots for this build because it gives you mana regeneration rate, immunity to being frozen and the most important factor which is increased movement speed.

In the mid game, you should look for boots with more elemental resistances and maximum health. When you reach the late game you have two options. The first one is Windshriek Reinforced Greaves. These boots increase your elemental damage, elemental resistances, and movement speed. Additionally, such boots give you a possibility to apply the second curse on the enemies. Thanks to that you will gain high damage boost. The second option is rare boots with a high amount of elemental resistances, maximum life, and movement speed.

The second option is Kaom's Roots Titan Greaves which are the typical defensive type of boots. Thanks to these boots your resistance for stuns is highly increased. Additionally, you are almost immune for any action speed debuffs. The only thing these boots lack are sockets for gems. When your resistances are still not capped you should consider buying simple rare boots with a certain amount of resists (35% of each res). Also, you have to look for increased movement speed attribute. The best one will be with 30% increased movement speed. Such an attribute is important when you gonna focus on mapping.

 f) Armor

In order to get perfect league starting armor, you should look for the one which will allow you to put 6 gems in it. Thanks to that you will be able to level up your main skill set, and efficiently clear story maps. You can try to find rare armor with six linked sockets and additional attributes or just buy Tabula Rasa Simple Robe. This unique armor will allow you to put any gem combination thanks to non-specified gem sockets. What is more, Tabula Rasa has always linked sockets so you will not need to spend any fusing orbs for it. The price for this armor is rather low, so buying it in the early game should not be a problem, even for newbie players.

In the late game, there are many different types of armors which you can wear. For the first armor, I would like to recommend is Skin of the Loyal Simple Robe. This kind of armor is similar to tabula rasa, but for higher levels and with more modifiers in it. It always has 6 linked sockets in it. It increases your global defenses and adds one level to the socketed gems. There is also the option to corrupt such armor. You should look for increased damage if you decide to corrupt it.

The second option is Soul Mantle Spidersilk Robe. This kind of armor increases your spell damage and what is the most important totem life by 50%. Thanks to that your totems are not only brainless damage dealers but they can also tank some hits from minions an bosses. Sometimes people use such armor to animate the effect of seven linked slots armor. It is because of the fact that the armor has built spell totem ability in it. This ability makes your totem cast linked spell gem and deal damage. Very good armor especially if you focus on damage and totems tankiness.

The next possibility is Shroud of the Lightless Carnal Armour. One of the most expensive armors for this build, but at the same time the best. It makes socketed gems supported by elemental penetration which significantly boost your damage output. Also, the armor grants 20% to cast shade form when using the socketed skill. The shade form makes you immune to the damage for 3 seconds. Last option is Queen of the Forest Destiny Leather. This armor is perfect when you want to make up resistance caps. Additionally, it increases your movement speed and maximum life by a certain amount. Perfect armor for mapping. Also, it is very cheap, even if you will try to buy 6 linked sockets in it. There is also the possibility to find nice rare armor with resistances, but armors mentioned above will do a better job.

 g) Amulet

When it comes to choosing the best starting amulet, you have to remember that all you need in the early game are resistances, a good amount of elemental damage and life. Amulets with all these attributes are very cheap and easy to drop. If you lack strength for leveling your gems, the amulet might be a perfect solution for that. You can also buy the one which will increase all your attributes. In the early game that is all that you need.

On the 24 level you should get Karui Charge Jade Amulet. This amulet is perfect for this build. It increases your two main attributes which are necessary to level up gems. Additionally, it boosts your projectiles speed by 30%, movement speed by 10% and what is the most important factor, projectile damage by 30%. Thanks to that, you and your totems will deal insane damage especially when fighting with epic bosses and monsters.

Then, when you reach 40 level you can get Marylene's Fallacy Lapis Amulet. This amulet is a perfect alternative when you do not have enough currency to afford Karui Charge (it costs around 6 chaos orbs what might be a lot in the early game). In the late game, you should get a good rare amulet with a high amount of resistances. Also, it is important to look for an amulet with dexterity attribute in it because you will need this to level up your gems. In order to boost your survivability, even more, look for the ring which will increase your maximum life. Here you have a good example of such amulets: Rune Clasp Turquoise Amulet.

h) Rings

Rings play a crucial role in our build. The perfect starter ring should have a nice amount of elemental damage and resistances. Additionally, you should get a ring with increased all attributes. You will need that for leveling your gems. A very good example of a perfect starter ring is Le Heup of All Iron Ring. It increases all attributes, damage, and all elemental resistances. That's all you need in the early game. In the late game, you need Kikazaru Topaz Ring. You probably wonder why. It is all because of the curses attribute which reduces their effects on you. Since you will have some curses in your build, having at least one ring of this kind is mandatory. I recommend using two of them.

If you feel that you don’t need two the same rings you can look for shaper ring with a good amount of elemental damage in it or simply Mark of the Shaper Opal Ring. The Mark of the shaper ring will boost your lightning damage and at the same time survivability by increasing your energy shield and life by 10%. Also if you think that it is better to go pure damage, you can invest in Elder ring and replace Kikazaru ring in order to get increased spell damage by 65%.

I) Shield

If you are going to use spirit shield instead of the second weapon, in the early game, focus on the one with a high amount of spell damage and critical chance from spells. It will significantly boost your damage output. In the late game, nothing changes but you can craft some additional attributes like for example +1 to summoned totems. Thanks to that you will be able to summon one more totem which will be a very good boost for your damage. Additionally, think about the increased casting speed attribute because it also gives you a very nice boost, especially when mapping.

 j) Potions

Potions play a very important role in every build. They can save your life in many situations, can increase your life leech, brake the debuffs or simply give a huge boost to your damage. It is very important to adjust your potions set for the build. There are many different potions in the path of exile. If you buy wrong potions, your build can lack damage or survivability. This build does not require very expensive potions. Some of them can be bought even on early levels. If you are looking for the best way of getting flasks, look on pathofexile market.

The first recommended potion is the one which can be used as debuff remover and health regenerator. Such potion should have additional attributes which will instantly recover a particular amount of your health, remove the bleeding debuff and additionally, give bleeding immunity. Since many bosses and minions inflict bleeding on hit, such potion will play a crucial role in boosting your survivability.

The second potion which is worth having is Dying Sun Ruby Flask. It is very expensive but totally worth spending some currency. It gives you two additional projectiles fired when you use your main attack ability. Additionally, such potion increases your aoe damage by even 25%. It is a huge boost which makes mapping faster. Also, bosses will seem to be weaker during flask effect. Mandatory potion in the late game.

Next potion which you should consider having is the one which boosts your movement speed. The needed flask is called Experimenter's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline. This potion will make your mapping more efficient and help to escape from enemies in critical situations. Look for the flask which increases movement speed by at least 60% and regenerate the charges when you receive a critical hit from opponents.

As a fourth potion, you should get The Wise Oak Bismuth Flask. It boosts all elemental remittances by 35%. You will need such potion to increase your survivability. Very useful potion since we will have hard times in making up resistance caps. Not mandatory potion but a very good one. You can replace it with Blood of the Karui Sanctified Life Flask when you have enough resistances from equipment.

For the last potion in the build setup, I recommend Atziri's Promise Amethyst Flask. This potion converts your elemental damage into chaos damage. Since the build is created to deal elemental damage, such potion will greatly increase your damage output. It converts 15% of your damage dealt as chaos damage. This makes the potion very crucial in this build, especially if you lack damage when fighting with minions or bosses.

j) list of gems

Armor – six linked sockets are mandatory for this build (6 blue sockets)

Arc - your main attack ability that will be also used by your totems. It creates an arc of lightning which shots thunders into enemy and chains on to other nearby opponents. It deals high lightning damage and has 10% to shock enemies. Also, it can chain up to 7 times. It deals 15% more damage for every remaining chain. Very good spell especially for groups of minions and weaker bosses. Thanks to that, you will be able to make uber lab and t16 maps very fast.

Controlled Destruction Support - support gem which increases linked attack gem spell damage. Unfortunately, the gem decreases the chance to hit a critical strike on enemies. When using this gem, arc spell damage can be increased up to 44% but the critical strike is reduced by 100%)

Lightning Penetration Support - thanks to this gem, your arc spell will ignore enemies lighting resistance. While using, your attack spell will penetrate up to 37% of opponents lightning resistance. Also, per 1% of gem quality, your spell gains 0,5% of increased lightning damage. Since gems can have 20% quality, your lightning damage will be increased by 10% on max level.

Elemental Focus Support - a support gem which increases elemental damage of linked attack skill. Thanks to this gem your elemental damage can be increased up to 49%. Sadly, when using such gem, you cannot inflict any of your elemental alignments like chill or burn on enemies.

Added Lightning Damage Support - a support gem which increases lightning damage of supported spells. Thanks to this gem, your lightning damage can be increased up to 402 damage. Also, per 1% of gem quality, your spell gains 0,5% of increased lightning damage. Since gems can have 20% quality, your lightning damage will be increased by 10% on max level.

Power Charge on Critical strike Support - a support gem which gives you power charge in the situation when you strike a critical hit. There is 54% of chance that you will gain a power charge when you successfully land a critical strike. Additionally, your supported skill damage is boosted by 4% per power charge. Very nice boost for your totems which will slain enemies even better.

Weapon ( main hand -3 linked sockets – three blue sockets)

Wrath - a buff gem which creates some kind of aura that increases lightning damage for you and your allies, and makes the spells deal more damage of such attribute. Your spell lighting damage can be increased up to 248 damage. Also, your allies gain 21% increased spell lightning damage.

Clarity - an aura buff gem which grants mana regeneration for you and your allies. Thanks to this aura you will regenerate up to 17.2 mana per second. Perfect aura for this build because you will not need any mana flasks to regenerate your mana. This buff will be enough.

Enlighten Support - a support gem which applies a mana multiplier to the gems which it supports. Remember that the gem works only when you reach the second level. Basically, it decreases mana reservation of skills.

Weapon ( off hand - 3 linked sockets - one blue, one red and one green)

Cast When Damage Taken Support (remember to keep it at level 1) - a skill which makes linked spell triggered when the player loses a certain amount of health. It is perfect combo with Arctic Breath because it will cast automatically, so you will be able to focus not on casting the buff but on slaughtering enemies.

Arctic Breath (remember to keep it at level 8) - a projectile spell which creates a skull made of frozen materials. This skull deals damage while reaching the targeted area. When such skill meets with any obstacle it explodes and creates a chilling area that deals cold dot damage. Very good additional skill used to support your totems in fights. It perfectly works on groups of minions.

Greater Multiple Projectiles Support - a support gem which adds four more projectiles to linked projectile skill. Additionally, it boosts attacking or casting speed of supported skill per 1% of quality. Since gems can have 20% quality, your attacking or casting speed will be increased by 10% on max level.

Shield (3 linked sockets - two red sockets and one blue)

Arctic Breath (remember to keep it at level 8) - a projectile spell which creates a skull made of frozen materials. This skull deals damage while reaching the targeted area. When such skill meets with any obstacle it explodes and creates a chilling area that deals cold dot damage. Very good additional skill used to support your totems in fights. It perfectly works on groups of minions.

Cast When Damage Taken Support (remember to keep it at level 1) - a skill which makes linked spell triggered when the player loses a certain amount of health. It is a perfect combo with Arctic breath, because in some circumstances when you will have low life, this gem will activate the buff for you.

Summon Stone Golem - a minion spell which gives you an ability to summon stone golem. This golem grants you and our allies increased life regeneration. Additionally, the golem can be used as a tank thanks to his rolling skill that taunts nearby enemies.

Gloves - 4 linked sockets (three red sockets and one green socket)

Cast When Damage Taken Support (remember to keep it at level 1) - a skill which makes linked spell triggered when the player loses a certain amount of health. It is perfect combo with Immortal Call because it will cast automatically, so you will be able to focus on slaughtering enemies.

Immortal Call (remember to keep it at level 3) - uses all endurance charge you have and makes you immune for physical damage even for 4 seconds (if you had maximum endurance charges)

Increased Duration Support - a support gem which increases the duration of linked skill gems by 64%.

Vaal Haste - an offensive aura type gem which increases user attack and casting speed for 4 seconds. Your attack and casting speed is increased by 31% on the maximum level. Additionally, your movement speed is increased by 13% while such aura is activated. Perfect aura especially when mapping or doing delve depths.

Boots 4 linked sockets (three blue sockets and one green socket)

Flame Dash - a movement spell which teleports the player to the cursored location. When teleporting, it damages enemies and leaves burning ground which deals additional fire damage which lasts for 4 seconds.

Faster Casting Support - a support gem which increases socketed gems casting speed. It can increase even 39% of cast speed.

Summon Lightning Golem - a minion spell which gives you an ability to summon lightning golem. This golem grants you and our allies increased attack and casting speed by 9%. Additionally, the golem can be used as an additional damage dealer which will throw a lightning spark into enemies and deal damage.

Culling Strike - it makes a flame dash and lightning golem able to instantly kill enemies left with 10% of their hp or less. The gem will be very useful when mapping to knock down enemies left with 10% health.

Helmet 4 linked sockets ( three blue sockets and one red socket)

Vaal Righteous Fire - attack aoe spell which sacrifice some amount of health and energy shield in order to create a magical fire which burns enemies dealing dot fire damage.

Conductivity - a curse spell which makes opponents in a certain area less resistant to lightning damage. Additionally, the curse increases a 14% chance to shock an enemy. Enemies will have 44% lightning resistance fewer thanks to this curse.

Arcane Surge Support (remember to keep it on 10lvl) - a support skill gem which gives you a very powerful buff for the amount of mana you spend on skills. The arcane surge buff increases your casting speed by 19, spell damage by 20% and 1% mana regeneration per second. It lasts for 4 seconds and its duration can be extended for using skills that needs mana.

Increased Duration Support - a support gem which increases linked skills duration up to 64%.

k) Skill Tree (also viable in Synthesis league)

Skill tree for  Arc Totem Hierophant with the ascendancy

l) Bandits

You should help Alira in for buffs to your elemental resistances, damage and mana regeneration. You can also kill all bandits, but Alira buff will give you more additional stats in my opinion.

m) Pantheon

main God - Soul of Lunaris - a blessing from Lunaris god is perfect for this build. It increases your survivability by reducing physical damage taken for each neighboring enemy. Additionally, your movement speed will be increased by a certain amount.

minor God - Soul of Arakaali - a blessing from Arakaali god boosts your survivability even more. This blessing is a perfect combo with Lunaris. It reduces damage taken and increases health regeneration which is very important in this build.

n) Jewels

When playing such build, there are two mandatory unique jewels which should be used.

Self-Flagellation Viridian Jewel - this jewel increases your damage output by 19% per curse you cast on you. Additionally, it allows you to apply an additional curse which makes your damage even higher. A perfect jewel for this build since you are basing on 6 curses.
