"Just take a seat, I got this"
Who is Phoenix
Phoenix ignites the battlefield in style not only with his burning abilities but also with a flashy movement of his actions. This fiery Brit uses the power of a flame through exploding fireballs, burning walls, blinding orbs, and the iconic move of the legendary Phoenix beast - an ability to respawn. Phoenix loves to take risks, peek from dangerous corners, run through the line of flames, and blind those who stare at him. He is the shining sun of Valorant that burns anybody that comes too close to him. He is also often described to be the best duelist in the game that peeks aggressively for kills and points on the scoreboard - but don’t think of him as careless since he can always come back to life once again. If you like aggressive playstyle consider playing Phoenix.
Abilities
Phoenix’s abilities can be used both offensively and defensively, which is the main strength of this Agent. He can heal himself through his flames and deal damage with them at will. The main problem with that is that his abilities may harm his allies, so when playing Phoenix always mind the positions of your team's members. His toolkit gives Phoenix a chance to deny enemy vision or to deny the ground that they stand on. Most importantly, however, he has one of the best ultimates in the game. Learn how to put his abilities to good use to know which skill to use in which situation.
C - Blaze / Costs: 200 Credits / Uses: one
Upon pushing the C key, Phoenix equips a Blaze ability. With LMB player can release it into the direction of the crosshair. Blaze creates a flame wall that blocks vision and damages enemies. By moving crosshair while the ability is being used, Phoenix can curve the wall.
How to use: Blaze is the ability that can be used in multiple ways. You can throw it as your team, or the enemy team enters the site when a team member plants the spike or when you want to change the cover without revealing where your position. You can also heal from it when your health is low, but the amount of life that it recovers can be quite disappointing. That's why you should use it rather offensively than defensively.
Q - Curveball / Costs: 200 Credits / Uses: two
Upon pushing the Q key, Phoenix equips a flaming orb. The player can release it in the left direction with LMB or the right direction with the RMB. The ball takes a short curving path and explodes blinding anyone that looks at it.
How to use: Curveball can be as deadly for enemies as it can be for your team. Always consider that when you throw it and avoid blinding your allies. When using Curveball, try to aim around corners while standing next to them - this way, it will explode just behind it. Always peek right after the explosion since Curveball flare can block sight only for a brief and will fade away shortly after that. Even if you peek right after throwing it cast time is so long that you will have around 1s of time to kill the enemy before blind will fade away. If you want to make an impact with your Curveball always peek instantly after the ball goes behind the corner. That's one of the most important Phoenix tips that you need to hear.
E - Hot Hands / Costs: free / Uses: one
Upon pushing the E key, Phoenix equips Hot Hands - his signature ability. The player can then throw it with the LMB in the direction of his crosshair. Hothands allow Phoenix to throw a fireball that explodes on the ground creating a fire zone that burns enemies who stand on it. When Phoenix touches the zone, he is healed instead.
How to use: Hothands ability is another skill in the Phoenix toolkit that can be used offensively and defensively. It works best when you spot an enemy behind a cover that doesn't want to peek. By burning the ground beneath him, you can force the enemy into open space. Hot Hands also heals the user but you’ll quickly regret throwing it under your feet since health recovery is not good enough to be useful.
X - Run It Back / Cost: 6 charges / Uses: one
Upon pushing the X key, Phoenix instantly places a mark on the ground, and the countdown begins. Then he has a timer set to 10 seconds during which he is protected by the ability to respawn. Whenever Phoenix dies during the Run It Back, he is reborn in the previously marked location with full health.
How to use: Phoenix's ultimate ability allows him for all kinds of aggressive and suicidal plays that can turn the tide of any battle. This might be the best ultimate in the Valorant since the potential for its uses is almost limitless. You can use it on both the offense and the defense. To pick dangerous corners, to open-up bombsites, to attempt spike defuses when enemies are still alive - you name it. The best map for Run It Back is Bind since you can use it just before using the teleport to get intel from the other side and to return to safety afterward. Be sure to place the mark on safe spots when enemies won't find it since respawning on a mark that's guarded by the enemy Agent will result in one click headshot from your opponent.

How to win as a Phoenix
Phoenix shines in aggressive plays and dangerous peeks. That's the way you should be playing this Agent. You are the one that's responsible for finding entry frags at the start of the round. With healing abilities, you can take a little bit of damage on yourself, and with Curveball, you can easily check if the enemy is behind the corner or not. Since your Ultimate recharges rather quickly, you can use it every time it is off cooldown - you don't have to save it for special occasions. Just be smart not to run into a five-man group with it as you won't be able to get any value off it. Stay aggressive and look for frags, but don't overextend, and you will be successful as a Phoenix!
