Lineage 2 leveling guide 85-99 - Reach endgame faster!
Lineage 2 leveling guide FOR 85-99 LEVELS
Most of the Lineage players are confident that leveling up to 85 is more of a tutorial that introduces players into the game than a real challenge made by the game developers. It gives new players a beam of hope showing that this old title is not made only for hardcore gamers but also for regular casuals. But what with this what comes afterward? Here we are to explain to you step-by-step how to advance into the endgame content and level up your character straight to the limit.
Aftermath of level 85
The first thing that you want to focus on after getting to 85 is the awakening quest. Head over to the Museum by reaching the location of the first NPC that you met at 1 lvl. There you will receive Seize your Destiny quest. After that, head to the Reliquary of the Giants where you will Awaken.
After you are done with Awakening, your next task will be to visit NPC Herphah, who resides in Aden. Depending on your Adventurer Guild faction level, you will be assigned one of the quests.
Zaken and Freya
Start at Rune Town, where you will pick up "Embroidered Cloak Part 1: Zaken's Soul" and "Embroidered Cloak Part 2: Freya's Soul". Killing these raid bosses rewards players with soul fragments. Twenty of them can be exchanged for the Cloak. This item lets your character teleport to various locations, including bosses. Get at least level 87 to use it since on lower levels, it would be too risky. Using it is a decent way to make some additional Adena. Zaken can be done three times every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Freya is available for killing on Wednesday and Friday. You can make alts to farm these bosses more efficiently.
Subclasses and Dual Classes
If you want to have a subclass, you can do so by starting quest Red Thread of Fate at NPC Raina on Talking Island. Finishing this mission unlocks a subclass which begins at level 40. You can have up to three subclasses. Two of them will be capped at 80, but one can bypass that limit, becoming a Dual Class. On levels 65, 70, 75, and 80, you can get subclass certificates from Certificate Manager that resides in the Talking Island as well. If you want Certificates for your Dual Class, however, you will have to visit the same NPC on levels 85, 90, 95, and 99. Keep in mind that Ertheia can have only a single subclass, which is also a Dual Class. In this case, it starts at level 85.
Once you reach level 75 on your subclass, try to complete the Noblesse Soul Testing quest. It gives your character Noblesse status that blesses you with an active skill which upon activation saves your buffs from disappearing on death. On top of that, you will get Noble Teleport access in each town. Some teleports (Gludin Arena, Giran Arena, Coliseum) are available from every place for 1k Adena each. With this transportation, you will be able to move around the map and participate in the Olympiad easily.
This activity is available on Friday and Sunday from 20:00 to 00:00 server time. To start, talk to Olympiad Manager in the town of your choice and take the Olympiad Starter quest. You should complete 10 Olympiads and turn in the quests to receive 2 Giant's Energy (worth a couple of million in Adena) and 10k fame. You won't be appointed to win them right away, but you have to earn points in order to enter. If you want to see if you have any type in chat "/olympiad stat". Every week you will receive 10 points. If you want to get more, you will have to farm the Ceremony of Chaos available on the first four days of the week. Take two missions available from Mysterious Butler, who stands next to the Olympiad Manager and starts after 8 PM server time. You can enter every 15 minutes. Five arenas have to be completed to finish both quests - you don't have to win here as well.
By doing Clan Quests, you will receive fame exchangeable for equipment in Clan Shop. Get the Supply Box Top Grade from level 8+ Clan. It will cost 9k fame, and you will receive from it Daily Coin. Now bring it to Priest Franco on Talking Island. He will sell you equipment pieces for it, and you will also have a small chance of getting 7days epic jewelry.
Leveling past 85
Seed of Annihilation
The Seed is one of the dungeons that players can do on level 85. It is soloable by most classes (provided that they have NPC buffs) and should be done this way; however, there is a quest outside "Not Strong Enough Alone." When you are inside, make sure to grab "Finding the Lost Soldiers" and also take "Completely Lost" if you stumble upon them. To get to the Seed location head over to Gludio's or Talking Island's Gatekeeper, both of which can teleport you to Keucereus Alliance Base for 150k Adena. From the base, you can travel to Seed of Annihilation.
By talking to NPC Penny, you can begin the mission that takes you to Harnak Underground Ruins. It can be easily done without a group, and all you have to do is kill 200 enemies. There are also two missions, Altar of Evil and Bloody Swampland, which also can be taken from NPC Penny if you have completed a set of two other missions beforehand. They might seem like a decent way to level, but avoid them as they require looting items that are quite rare.
Last but not least, there is also Kartias Labyrinth, and this is the primary source of exp income between lvl 85 and 99. Because of that, you should opt for both solo and party instances as often as possible. From level 87, you will also be getting a mission from it, so head over to NPC Penny after you meet requirements.

Blackish Red Fog mission can be taken from Hunters Village and should be immediately completed as it allows players to teleport to Magmeld for free with 30 minutes cooldown. To activate this perk, however, you will need to meet some additional requirements. Head over to Dimensional Merchant that can be found in any town and talk to him to get a Seed Bracelet. It will cost you 500k Adena, yet still, it will be cheaper than the ones that are put on Auction House.
You have done all of this to have easy access to Magmeld, where you can teleport now every 30 minutes. In this town, you can find many valuable missions that reward both great experience and costly rewards. Fairy quests that are commissioned by NPC Penny are the best ones that you should aim for.
From level 90, you will be able to start another quest series. Take missions from NPC Penny, who will send you to Spezion and Fortuna. There you should complete quests related to them and after that do Garen of Genesis tasks. If you want some additional ways to level Kimerian common and extreme instances can be soloed easily; however, don't expect great loot from them.
On the 1st and 15th day of each month, Antharas Nest opens. During that time, lots of players will be searching for groups, so make sure to check party matching. It is a straightforward instance that takes just a couple of minutes to complete and rewards with amazing items.
You will get a notification that will tell you to do a Mysterious Journey quest. It unlocks a series of missions that give decent experience from NPC Penny that sends you to Isle of Souls Harbor. You can find there Nornils Garden instance that is inhabited by Spicula Zero boss. When you get there, finish one mission called "Soulless One". On Level 94, make sure to pick up "Kicking Out Unwelcome Guests" from Giorgio in Aden.

Take the quest called "Dimensional Exploration of the Unworldly Visitors" from NPC Tarti in Gludio. Talk with Ruine to enter the Dimensional Gap. There you can take the quest "Exploring the Dimension - 30 days operation" from NPC Beloa. This instance can be done solo, but you should have buffs in order to succeed. As for the rewards, you can expect not only good experience rates but also a decent amount of profit. During your journey there, you might come across a Dimensional Vagabond monster that drops a key to the boss room. The boss can be killed solo, but it doesn't drop anything special, so don't waste your time on it.
Another thing that you might be interested in doing is Kercereus Alliance Base Defense. It can be done in the party and as a solo player. Near the end, you will be able to challenge Kain Van Halter boss, which drops some valuable items. It becomes available every two weeks at random day chosen from Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and random hours that vary between 9 PM, 10 PM, and 11 PM (server time), so make sure that you won't miss the opportunity to do it.
If you have completed the quest "Undecaying Memory of the Past" while doing Spezion, you can start "Owner of Hall" from Lydia. It will send you to a quest chain that ends with an Octavis boss. To get to Lydia, start at Magmeld and head over to teleporter called Sookie. Select the option to go to Orbis Temple 1st floor. Walk to the left and there you will find your NPC. The boss resets on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
At this point, you should try killing bosses. Epic Istana can be done from level 97, but usually, players will look for party members with 99+. You can start it with "Extreme Challenge: Primal Mother Resurrected." After it's killed, you will have to wait for two weeks for a reset. Epic Octavis can also be done upon completion of "Resurrected Owner of the Hall". Last but not least, there is also Tauti and Epic Tauti in Seed of Hellfire. You will have to complete the Day of Liberation and Epic Tauti as well as other one time quests to gain access to them.
As for the instances, Baylor is an easy one that can be done solo, and Balok is a bit harder one but has better drops. Crystal Cavern - Steam Corridor, Coral Garden, and Emerald Square parts are choices for parties of at least five members.
After hitting 99, you will start a quest series by completing "Exalted: One Who Faces the Limit." You will also gain access to Nightmare Kamaloka and Hellbound. This part of your journey will be significantly tougher than leveling before that, so make sure to finish all of the daily quests that you can do.
