PoE Scion Build - Discover The Endless Possibilities!
poe Scion build 2019
Scion is a universal class that can be played as any class from Path of Exile world. You can be basically everything. The class is aligned with all attributes and can use intelligence, strength or dexterity. She is located in the center of the passive skill tree. Thanks to that she can be played with almost every character build. The Scion will be always worse than other classes, but thanks to non-dedicated specialization, you are able to make a hybrid class with for example tanky and mage passive skills. In this PoE Scion Build, Guide we will describe everything that you should know about Scion.
The class is not available from the beginning of the game. You have to unlock her by doing a quest, so new players can’t choose her straight from the beginning. In order to unlock Scion, you have to rescue her in the final area of Act 3. Straight after killing final boss Dominius you can rescue Scion. There are no other requirements that would allow you to unlock her. You can do it in any league. When you unlock Scion ascendant class you will get an achievement called „Free the Scion”.
She starts with a spectral throw attack skill. With this class, you can use every type of armor or weapon. That means you can play as a magician and use heavy armor if you really want to. The class offers many different play styles and various development possibilities.
This class is not recommended for newbie players. At first, they should familiarize and learn everything about the game content, itemization, character PoE builds, mechanics, play styles and spells in order to play Scion. She requires great knowledge and a bit skill from gamers. The Scion is a very flexible character which allows players to take passive skills on other ascendency classes. What is more, Scion is very good character if you decide to play on the hardcore league. These skill passives have a similar effect as an overall class tree with mitigated effects. Remember that you can take only one passive from each class. You can allocate up to two ascendancy passives. Further, you go into the game you will be able to change your building path and use the class passives as a second starting point.
When it comes to talking about gear prices it is totally up to you what you will choose. You can decide what equipment you will wear - the cheap or the expensive one. When I was playing the Scion, I preferred to invest in very good gear. She can be very powerful, but as it was mentioned before, you will need knowledge about proper gearing, items stats, and skills. Now I will introduce her most passive skills and ascendancy possibilities.
The minor passive skills basically give her a boost to attributes. Depending on which developing path you choose, you can gain additional strength, dexterity or intelligence. If you, for example, choose to play an assassin you can gain up to 60 dexterity and intelligence. The same situation is with other roles. When it comes to the main passive skills she offers the following possibilities:

Furthermore, you get immunity for stuns which will be very useful in the late game. Additionally, you gain one endurance charge every second if you receive damage from minions and bosses. Thanks to these endurance charges and passive skills you can increase your damage by 5% per endurance charge you gain in battle.
Path of the Templar - allows you to allocate the passives from the Templar skill tree
If you decide to play as a Guardian you will gain some of his supportive attributes. The first one is the ability to sharing power, frenzy and endurance charges with your party members. What is more, you regenerate 20% of your maximum life every 5 seconds. Also, every activated aura increases you and your allies damage reduction by 1%. Path of the Witch - allows you to allocate the passives from the Witch skill tree
If you decide to use bonuses from Elementalist class you will gain elemental damage penetration increased by 10%. Additionally, bonuses from herald skills are increased by 40%. It is very useful especially when you are playing the build which uses all herald buffs and ele damage. What is more, you can summon 1 more Golem and cannot take damage from reflected elemental hits. It will help you when doing maps with such an attribute.
If you decide to play as a Necromancer, the undead master you will gain buffs to your minions and their damage. The class buffs make your minions deal increased damage by 30%. What is more, offering skill and bonuses which can be gathered when using, also affect your character. Also. your skills have 20% more effect duration which is a nice boost to your damage and survivability. Unfortunately, offering spells effect is reduced by 50% when affecting your champion. Offering skills effect is not changed when affecting your minions. Additionally, your auras which come from your skills gives your necro undead mistress and your allies increased attacks and casting speed by 3%.
If you prefer Occultist bonuses you will gain fewer bonuses than when choosing Necromancer or Elementalist. Luckily, these bonuses are a very strong one so you do not have to be worried about that. Thanks to this ascendancy path you will gain an ability to apply additional curse which is a very important factor when playing occultist. Her builds often base on curses so it will be really useful. Additionally, the effect of owned curses will be increased by 10% which will increase your survivability and damage. What is more, you cannot be stunned when you have an energy shield. I recommend making the build which mostly bases on energy shield because it will grant you immunity for stuns like herald of agony occultist.
Path of the Shadow - allows you to allocate the passives from the Shadow skill tree
If you decide to use Assassin's passive skill tree you will gain a 40% chance to inflict poison after a successful hit. What is more, you have a 10% chance to get power charge with each critical strike you deal. Also, your critical strike chance is increased by 1%. Additionally, your movement speed will be increased by 10% when you kill the enemy. It will perfectly work with Frost blades or arc PoE build. It will fasten your mapping and sometimes can save your life. The last attribute this ascendancy class gives is a skill which causes that your critical strikes cannot be reflected. The passives from assassin allow you to easily play blade vortex build which is mostly crit based class. The Blade Vortex build is on the top of the most played builds in Legion league.
If you prefer to take Saboteur ascendancy skill tree, you can be sure that your mines effectiveness will be hardly increased. Thanks to this passive you will gain a 25% chance to cause blind on opponents when you land a successful hit. What is more, you penetrate 6% of enemies elemental resistances and increase your area of effect by 30%. Furthermore, you gain 1% of life regeneration for each of your mines or traps triggered. You can gain up to 20% of life regeneration which is a huge boost to your survivability, especially when mapping and fighting with stronger bosses. The Ice trap build will be perfect for this ascendancy class.
If you choose the Trickster passive skill tree, your bonuses will be increasing your survivability stats rather than damage output. As a first bonus, you will have a 15% chance to gain a Frenzy Charge and Power Charge on every kill you make. It will be perfect combo with flicker strike build. Additionally, the passive increases your life, mana, and energy shield recovery rate by 50% when you kill an enemy which was affected by any of your damage over time skills before. What is more, your mana regeneration is increased when you use any movement skill. Furthermore, there is a 15% chance to make your skills deal 50% extra non-chaos damage. Also, you have immunity for stuns when you are not fighting with minions. If you get hit by minion, you automatically lose this immunity.
Path of the Ranger - allows you to allocate the passives from the Ranger skill tree
If you prefer playing as a range class you can choose between Deadeye, Pathfinder, and Raider. If you choose to play Deadeye, your projectile skills will pierce two additional targets. Also, your damage is increased up to 50% for the distance from which you shoot your attack skill. The more your projectiles travel, the more damage opponents will receive. What is more, your skills fire one more additional Projectile which highly boosts your damage output. Furthermore, your global accuracy rating is increased by 50%. There is also one more stat worth to be mentioned. You do not get extra damage from bleeding while you are moving. It is very useful when doing t16 maps.
If you choose to use Pathfinder passive skills you will gain increased elemental damage penetration by 6%. Additionally, your movement speed and attack speed is boosted by 10% when the flask effect is active. What is more, the passive gives you the possibility to regenerate 3 charges every 3 seconds. The last thing this passive gives is a 15% chance to make your flasks to not consume potion charges. There can be a situation that you will have almost infinite potion charges. Very useful ability when fighting with bosses and you cannot kill any minions to regenerate your charges.
If you decide to play Raider, class, you will gain a 10% chance to get a frenzy charge when you hit a unique or rare opponent. When you reach the max amount of frenzy charges you gain onslaught which increases your attack speed and highly boost your damage output. Additionally, you get increased movement speed by 10%, increased chance to avoid attacks by 4% and boosted attack damage output by 20%. Raider is a class which is typical glass cannon so use it wisely. You can make build which will be based on slayer raider passives in order to boost the character potential.
Path of the Duelist allows you to allocate the passives from the Duelist skill tree
If you decide to play with champion bonuses you can be sure that it will increase your damage output and give some additional crowd control effects. Thanks to this passive you permanently intimidate enemies with a full life. This effect makes the target take 10% physical damage more. Additionally, there is a 25% chance to taunt enemies on a successful hit. Also, taunted enemies take increased physical damage by 10%. What is more, there is a 10% chance to fortify when you hit an enemy with your weapon. It will boost your survivability by reducing damage from hits by 20%. Also, you can impale opponents with a 20% chance on a successful hit. The last boost this passive gives is increased movement speed by 8% for you and your allies.
If you decide to use Gladiator passives, you will boost your survivability, block potential and damage against bleeding targets. With this passive, there is a 15% chance to block spell damage and incoming attack damage. With proper gear, you can increase this chance even more. Additionally, you deal 25% more damage toward bleeding targets. Remember to have a skill or proper gear which will give you a possibility to inflict bleed on opponents. Additionally, there is a 10% chance to blind enemies when fighting. It will be very useful, especially when fighting with bosses or doing the uber lab.
And the last possibility is to choose the slayer passive skill tree. It will mainly boost your life leech and damage output. This passive makes your life leech effect not removed even on a full life. Additionally, your attacks have culling strike on hit. It means that you will one-shot targets below 18% health. Very useful, especially when mapping. What is more, you gain an increased area of effect damage by 30% and immunity for physical damage reflect. All these attributes make this class perfect for cyclone blade flurry build.
As you can see, the Scion has a much different building path. The character offers the possibility to mix different play styles and bonuses from other champions. This will give you much fun and make you spend hundreds of hours in the path of exile world. What is more, you have to remember that you will need great knowledge about bosses, itemization, map mods and other game content in order to play Scion class. It is not a character for everyone because of being not newbie-friendly. Since she has no specific role in the game, you might find it difficult to make this champion game content viable and efficient enough to be quick mapper. You will need to put much effort in getting enough budget to provide good clearing gear for Scion class. In this part of the beginner’s guide, I will introduce the pros and cons of my dedicated Scion build. I hope you will enjoy it.
Advantages
Stun and Freeze Immunity - since we are going to use passives from Slayer and Assasin, you will have two main immunities which will boost our survivability especially in the late game when we will have to face with atziri or shaper. This immunity makes you almost invulnerable for any crowd control effects in the game.
Culling strike and Overleech - by using Slayer passive skill tree we will get overleech and culling strike. The first one is responsible for boosting your life leech even if we have full hp. The second one is used to make our map clearing process faster. It will one shot every minion which have below 20% health. Very useful passive when mapping and doing delve depths.
Mandatory items - your mandatory items will give you high survivability and damage output. The only problem can be Abyssus helmet which strongly increases your damage, but also decreases your survivability.
High health amount - in the end game you will be able to have around 5k health. This is a lot, especially when we look at our damage output. This build is made to connect high damage output and survivability.
Power charge generation - thanks to used passives, you gain free power charges generation. The charges will strongly boost your physical damage output. If we combine it with atziri flask, we will have a nice life leech and at the same time damage.
Disadvantages:
Not so cheap - mandatory unique items may be expensive, especially for newbie players. Starting items will not cost much, but when your reach end game, and you will start to maximize your stats, some items may cost a lot. Be prepared for that.
Abyssus helmet - it is an advantage and disadvantage at the same time. Abyssus gives you nice damage boost but sadly decreases your survivability. You can use staraknoja’s helmet as equivalent but it will not boost your damage as abysses do.
Gear
For Scion you can use every kind of gear you want to. There are no requirements when it comes to the type of armor you should wear or kind of weapon you should fight with. You can either use heavy or light armor, bow or dual swords. Everything depends on your imagination and knowledge about the game. In this part of the build guide, I will show you the best itemization for the build called Unarmed Queen. The build is very specific because we do not use a weapon. There is a possibility to do it in the early stages of the game but in the late game, the weapon is simply not needed.
a) Weapon
In the early game, you should use one handed or two handed weapons in order to clear the story maps. You can use two Gorebreaker Spiked Club as a perfect level 1 game starter. It increases your early physical damage, attack speed and stun duration on enemies. It is very cheap so even newbie players will be able to afford such a weapon.
When you reach level 13 switch your weapon for Limbsplit Woodsplitter. It boosts the level of socketed strength gems, increases physical damage and gives you culling strike on hit. It will help you to clear story maps even faster than while having two goreberakers. Use limbsplit to level 27 and then take Geofri's Baptism Brass Maul. This weapon gives you nice damage boost and will help you when killing act bosses.
Then, at level 40 start wearing Geofri's Baptism Brass Maul. It is important to socket your main attack gem there because such a weapon will increase its level. What is more, it will increase your damage output and skill effect duration by 15%. The perfect weapon for mid game. At level 57 you should buy Marohi Erqi Karui Maul. You will use this weapon until the end game. It boosts your damage, attack speed, and movement speed. What is more, it supports socketed gems by level 15 pulverize skill which increases your area damage by 50%. In the late game, you will use no weapon. Yes, it is unusual but this is the best thing in this build because you do not need to spend additional currency for an expensive weapon.
b) Armor
In the early game, you should look for an armor which will grant six linked sockets. There is a possibility to use rare armor with proper sockets but I recommend a very good equivalent which is called Tabula Rasa Simple Robe with 6 links. It is a perfect game starter because you can wear it from the first level. What is more, this armor has 6 linked sockets without specified type. It means that the armor allows you to socket any gem and also use it on any champion. It is a universal type of armor which can be used until you reach the late game.
In the late game, you will need armor with additional stats like for example Loreweave Elegant Ringmail. This armor is probably the best possible option for late and end game. It highly increases your physical damage and critical strike chance. What is more, it always has 6 sockets so the only thing you will need to do is to link this sockets and change for an adequate one. Additionally, it boosts your all attributes which will be needed when leveling up gems and your maximum health. There is no better armor for this build. It gives you everything you need in the late game.
c) Helmet
For the best early game helmet, you will need to consider buying the one which will increase your elemental resistances and attributes needed to level up your gems. The simple rare helmet will do the job. If you want to invest in a unique helmet, the best possible option is Goldrim Leather Cap. It gives you a 35% boost to all elemental resistances which is a huge boost, especially in the early game. Finding proper sockets might be tricky, but don’t worry because you do not need a lot at the beginning.
In the mid game, you can switch Goldrim for Ezomyte Peak Iron Hat which will boost your physical damage by 20% and health amount by 50. It does not give you elemental resistances, but you will probably have them maximized from other gear parts. In the late game, you have at least 5 possibilities of helmets but I will mention three the best one. The first option is well known Abyssus Ezomyte Burgonet. This helmet will increase your critical strike multiplier and physical damage. It increases your damage output but also dps taken from minions which are the biggest problem in this type of builds.
In the end game, you will not feel the difference with maximized gear, but in the late game, you might be irritated when some stronger unique enemies will one-shot you. The second option is Starkonja's Head Silken Hood which increases your damage and at the same time survivability. It increases your attack speed and critical strike chance. The problem with this helmet is that it decreases your damage by 50% when you are on low life. Also, it increases your maximum health amount and evasion rating when you are on low life. The third and the last option is Rat's Nest Ursine Pelt. This helmet is expensive but gives you really good offensive stats in the end game. It increases your attack speed, critical chance and movement speed. It will help you when doing t16 maps and other game content.
d) Gloves
The perfect gloves for the league start should have increased elemental resistances, additional attributes and if possible, increased attack speed. You can look for rare gloves with such attributes or buy unique Lochtonial Caress Iron Gauntlets. This gloves increases your attack speed and gives you a 10% chance to gain endurance, power or frenzy charge when you kill an opponent. You can use these gloves until you get 35 level.
When you reach 35 level switch your gloves for Meginord's Vise Steel Gauntlets. Such gloves will increase your strength attribute, survivability and also 10% of your damage output. Ideal gloves for the mid-game. In the late game Facebreaker Strapped Mitts. This item is mandatory for this build since in the late game we will play without a weapon. These gloves significantly increase your damage output and give you a boost to unarmed damage. Thanks to this glove your critical strike multiplier will be increased by 30% and also, your physical damage with unarmed attacks will hit up to 800% more. It enormous boost to your damage and because o that you will basically be able to melt everything in the late game. There are no better gloves for this build. Do not think to replace them with rare elder gloves with high elemental resistances roll because unfortunately, it won’t work.
e) Belt
In order to maximize your stats in the early game, you should look for the one which will increase your attributes (in this build you will need strength and dexterity) and elemental resistances. You can look for rare belt with attributes mentioned above or buy unique Meginord's Girdle Heavy Belt. This belt boosts your strength attribute, physical damage output and your survivability by increasing cold resistance up to 15% and your maximum amount of health by 10%. Perfect early game starter for your character.
When you reach level 30 switch your belt for Belt of the Deceiver Heavy Belt. It will increase your damage output and survivability. Thanks to this belt you will receive 30% less damage from critical strikes and also your physical damage will be increased by 15%. What is more, your all elemental resistances will be increased up to 15%. This belt will be used until you reach level 70.
At level 70 you have two belt options. The first one is getting a unique version of stygian vise Darkness Enthroned Stygian Vise which will allow us to socket two abyssal jewels in it. This belt increases the effectiveness of socketed abyssal jewels by 50%. If you socket proper gems you can gain a very nice bonus to your stats. The jewels will be described at the end of the guide. The second option is taking a rare version of the stygian vise with high elemental resistances roll. Here you have a link to the perfect stygian vise for this build Gale Strap Stygian Vise. It will increase all of your resistances by at least 40%. Also, you will be able to socket one abyssal jewel in it. With proper jewel, you can boost your physical damage output which will be a perfect combination with the survivability it offers.
f) Boots
When looking for perfect league starter boots you should focus on the one which will strongly boost your movement speed, your attributes, and elemental resistances. The minimum amount of elemental resistances is 20%. When it comes to movement speed the same – 20%. If it is possible you should buy Seven-League Step Rawhide Boots. This boots are expensive but give you a 50% movement speed which is the highest amount in the game. It will fasten the whole process of making story maps.
There is also the possibility to wear Wanderlust Wool Shoes which are a budgetary option. These boots are cheap and boost your movement speed and survivability by giving you freeze immunity. Also perfect boost for the game start. In the late game, you should pay attention on what is more important for you. If you will need more survivability you should invest in elder boots with elemental resistances and attributes boost. If your resistances are capped you can consider getting Kaom's Roots Titan Greaves. The main advantage of these boots is the fact that they allow you to get an unwavering stance which gives you stuns immunity. It is a huge boost for your survivability especially on higher tier maps or instances like t16 maps or uber lab. There, almost every mob have a chance to stun you so these boots can save your life. If you decide that elemental resistances are a better choice, focus on the following attributes:
- Increased lightning/cold/fire resistances – at least 40%
- Increased movement speed – at least 30%
- Increased attack speed – 12% if possible
- Boost to your maximum life – at least 80
g) Rings
In the early game, your rings should boost your elemental resistance, elemental damage and attributes needed to level up gems. You can try to find a rare ring with attributes mentioned above and put in into your first ring slot. For the second ring, I recommend having Le Heup of All Iron Ring which is the best starting ring for almost every build. It gives you everything you need. Thanks to this ring your physical damage will be increased by 30% and all elemental resistances by 25%. What is more, the ring offers you boost to all attributes so you will be able to level up your gems in the early game.
In the mid game, when you reach level 45, you should change your rare ring for Sibyl's Lament Coral Ring which will give you a nice boost to your damage. If you need resistances because you are dying a lot, look for a better rare ring with more resistance. When you reach late game you will need two The Taming Prismatic Ring. Such rings will give you a huge boost to your survivability by increasing elemental resistances by 40% and also your damage output by increasing elemental damage by 120%. Also, thanks to these rings you have a 10% chance to ignite, stun or freeze the opponents. If you do not have enough currency to afford such rings, focus on the rare one with the following stats:
- increased all resistances – at least 40%
- increased elemental damage – both should increase by 40%
- boost to maximum health – 50 points would be nice
- all attributes boost - you will need it to level up your gems. If you can't find ring will all attribute boost focus on the one which will boost the attribute you lack the most.
h) Amulet
In the early game, you will need an amulet which increases your elemental resistances, attributes, and physical damage. A rare amulet with such attributes should be enough in the early stage. At level 28 you will be able to wear our mandatory amulet for this build. The amulet is called Rigwald's Curse Wereclaw Talisman. You will probably wonder why this amulet is mandatory. Because it perfectly works with your claws modifiers and converts them from the passive skill tree into unarmed modifiers. It means that we will get a strong boost to our damage. Modifiers like claw damage, claw attack speed and claw critical strike chance is applied to your unarmed damage.
What is more, this amulet increases global critical strike multiplier by 35% and makes unarmed attacks have a 7% chance to deal a critical strike. There is no better amulet for this build. It is slightly expensive, so maybe you won't be able to wear it straight after 28 level but it is not a problem. Just remember to have it in the late game for the huge damage boost.
i) Shield
When it comes to using a shield, it will be necessary only in the late game. For most of the time you will use dual swords or two-handed weapons, so the shield cannot be worn in this situation. In the endgame, you will need a shield called Lycosidae Rawhide Tower Shield. It is used mainly because it makes your attacks unavoidable. It also boosts your survivability by increasing chance to block and your maximum health
j) Potions
Path of exile is one of the most developed RPG grinding gear games played by millions of people from all around the world. In the game apart from itemization, the player will need to use proper potions for his character. There are many different types of potions. Some of them increase your elemental and physical damage output and others can be used as life or mana regenerators. In this build, you will need only damage boosters. Since we will use overleech from Slayer, you do not need any life regenerator. If we combine atziri potion and slayer’s overleech, we will be able to survive even the strongest minions and bosses. Potions necessary for this build are not expensive so you will be able to afford them even in the early game. The best place where you can find such potions is the path of exile market.
In the first flask slot, you should have Atziri's Promise Amethyst Flask. It will perfectly fit the build because of caused effect. It increases your life leech and converts your physical damage into extra chaos damage. This potion boosts your damage output and survivability at the same time. Perfect potion for this build. Very cheap and easy to get potion.
In the second flask slot, you should have Lion's Roar Granite Flask. The potion is responsible for increasing physical damage by 30%. What is more, the potion increases your armor when used. Thanks to this flask you will be able to survive more damage from minions and bosses. Additionally, the potion gives you some crowd control effects like fear or knockback. The potion can be used when you reach 27 level.
The third mandatory potion for this build is The Wise Oak Bismuth Flask. The potion is used if players need to make up caps and increase elemental damage penetration (magic pen phrase is commonly used by players). Thanks to survivability it gives you will be able to survive more when doing uber lab or fighting with stronger bosses like uber elder. Also, you can buy more offensive items if you use this potion.
In the fourth flask slot, you should insert the potion which will increase your movement speed. It should boost your movement speed by at least 60% because you will need it for mapping. Such potion will fasten the whole process of doing story and shaper maps. It is also perfect when doing labyrinth. Here you have a link for an ideal example of such potion Experimenter's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline.
In the last flask slot, you should consider having Sin's Rebirth Stibnite Flask. The potion is responsible for buffing you with unholy might. The effect of unholy might will increase your chaos damage by converting 30% of your physical damage into it. It will be perfect fulfillment for atziri flask effect. If you combine the effect of this potions you will gain a significant boost to your damage. Also mandatory potion for this build.
K) gems list
Armor - six linked sockets armor are mandatory (two blue sockets, two red sockets and one red)
In armor, you can socket many different skill configuration. I will mention only two, for me, the best one in this build. The first one will be based on Dominating blow which is the best boss killer build in the game and the second on Vaal Cyclone. We can also use blade flurry or molten strike build, but they are not that effective as the two mentioned before.
Dominating Blow Gem setup four red, one blue and one green
- Dominating blow - main attack ability. It is a melee attack which inflicts a curse on an enemy. This curse causes the monster to summon Sentinels of Purity. Sentinels mods are copied from an enemy it was raised from. Remember to increase the gem quality in order to gain an additional 20% minion damage.
- Melee Physical Support - a support gem which increases physical damage of linked attack spell. It boosts physical damage by 50%. Remember to increase the gem quality to gain an additional 10% of physical damage.
- Elemental Damage with Attacks Support - a support gem which increases elemental damage of linked gems. Thanks to this gem you gain 55% more elemental damage. If you increase the gem quality you will get 10% more elemental damage. Remember to do it!
- Ruthless Support - a support gem which makes every third attack deal ruthless blow to the enemy. Ruthless blow deals 132% more damage to the opponents. It is a huge boost, especially when fighting with single target enemies. It is important to increase the gem quality to get 10% more physical damage with supported attack skills.
- Physical Lightning Support - a support gem which converts 50% of your physical damage into lightning elemental damage. Thanks to this gem, your dominating blow will deal with an additional source of damage. When you increase the gem quality you will get 10% more physical and lightning damage on the maximum level.
- Hypothermia Support - a support gem which increases your damage against chilled enemies. What is more, it gives you a 10% chance to freeze enemies. It is important to increase the quality of the gem to gain an additional 15% more of chill duration on enemies.
Go straight into the endgame with a full build with some of the great PoE Accounts available for sale on our website! |
Vaal Cyclone gem setup - two green, two red and two blue sockets
- Vaal Cyclone - the main attack ability. It makes you spin around and deal physical damage to the nearby enemies. Very good aoe ability used for fast clearing maps. In Legion patch, the ability is buffed so now it deals even more damage than before. I recommend using it on Scion.
- Hypothermia Support - a support gem which makes your damage higher towards chilled enemies. There is also the possibility to freeze enemies with your attacks. It is important to increase the quality of the gem to gain an additional 15% more of chill duration on enemies.

Helmet 4 linked sockets (three red sockets and one green)

- Fortify Support - a support gem which grants fortify when fighting with enemies. It also increases physical damage by 35%. Furthermore, it makes your skills deal 35% more damage towards bleeding or poisoned opponents.

- Ancestral Protector - the gem which allows you to summon a totem which will be additional source damage. Also, it gives you a buff to your attack speed. By increasing the gem quality you will get 20% more totem damage. It will help you when fighting with single target enemies.

Shield - three linked sockets (one green, one blue, and one red socket)
- Hatred - a buff gem which reserves 25% of your maximum mana, but at the same time gives you an additional source of damage. It boosts your regular attacks with cold type of damage and also converts 25 of your physical damage into cold damage. Also, your allies are affected by this buff.
- Herald of Purity - the second herald buff gem which increases your physical attack damage and allows you to summon Sentinels of Purity which will deal additional physical damage. By increasing the gem quality, your minions will gain 20% more movement speed.
- Cold Snap - aoe skill which deals cold damage to nearby enemies and gives you a 25% chance to generate frenzy charges when you kill an enemy while standing in this skill area. If you want to make this area bigger you have to increase the gem quality. You can make it even 10% bigger on the maximum quality level.
